Accommodation and everyday living are separate, giving you the freedom to choose what suits you — and so there are no hidden mark-ups. Apartments are typically around ฿20,000–30,000/month (roughly AUD $850–1,280).

Our founding cohort — the very first group. While friends back home face the coldest, darkest weeks of the Australian winter, you're having breakfast by the pool in Hua Hin, and you're home again as spring arrives. Everyone in this group is a founding member, with a place in the SawasdeeLife story from the beginning. The group is limited to 15 people.
June to September is Hua Hin's green season — a little more rain and warmer, more humid days than the cooler months. If you'd prefer the driest, sunniest weather, our November and January programs are a better fit.
How founding places work
Reservations aren't open yet — we're finalising our client agreement with an Australian lawyer first, so no payments are taken until then. Join our priority list now (no cost, no commitment). When reservations open, everyone on the list hears at the same time and gets a short priority booking window before bookings open to everyone. The founding price goes to the first 5 people to complete their booking — a signed agreement and the AUD $500 deposit. Joining the list doesn't secure the founding price.

Thinking of staying longer?
Some people fall in love with Hua Hin and want to stay on after their program — and that's possible with planning. Staying beyond 3 months needs a retirement (Non-O) visa, arranged before you leave Australia, so please talk to us before you book.
Our retirement-visa assistance service is AUD $1,000 per person. It covers our help with your application, opening a Thai bank account, your Residence Certificate, your extension at the immigration office (including the THB 1,900 extension fee) and 90-day reporting during your first year's extension while you're in Thailand. It doesn't include the visa application fee, which you pay when you apply, or re-entry permits if you travel out of Thailand. You need to meet Thai immigration's requirements, including financial ones, and approval isn't guaranteed.
Once your program finishes, the group activities end. Our phone and WhatsApp support can continue for AUD $100 a month, with in-person help at our standard rates.

A 4-night Bangkok Welcome Tour — 4 nights' 4-star accommodation, all meals, the Grand Palace, Ayutthaya, a dinner cruise — then a scenic transfer to Hua Hin with a floating-market stop on the way. You start with a holiday, as a group.
Settle in, supported.
We stay with you through the first fortnight: move-in, orientation, banking, your phone set up, your new neighbourhood shown to you. Your cohort settles in close together.
Live the rhythm.
Weekly coffee mornings, monthly day trips, cooking classes, morning walks, markets — a life with friends and structure, and the rest of the week gloriously your own. We help make getting to activities easy.
Never alone.
A team on the ground, a support line Monday to Saturday (8am–8pm Bangkok time), help that comes to you, and people who stay in regular touch — so no one is left to struggle alone.

- 4-night Bangkok Welcome Tour — 4-star hotel, all meals, the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Ayutthaya and a dinner cruise, with a licensed guide
- Airport pickup, welcome pack and a Thai SIM, and the transfer to Hua Hin with a market stop
- 2 nights in a Hua Hin hotel with breakfast, plus a welcome dinner, while you move in
- Visa guidance every step of the way — and we pay the THB 1,900 (about AUD $80) extension fee
- A supported settling-in fortnight (bank account, phone, orientation)
- A weekly coffee morning with our team (about 12)
- 9 included half-day activities (three a month) and 3 full-day guided trips (one a month)
- 6 personal-assistance sessions of up to 4 hours each — two a month, booked when you need them (booking conditions apply; two sessions in each allowance period — days 1–30, days 31–60, and day 61 to the end of your program — and unused sessions don't carry forward to the next period)
- A support line, Monday–Saturday, 8am–8pm Bangkok time, and a team on the ground
- Help with banking, paperwork and visa reporting
- A ready-made community of fellow Australians

- Your apartment after the 2 included hotel nights (separate from the program fee — around ฿20,000–30,000/month (roughly AUD $850–1,280); we give you a vetted shortlist and help you book, and you pay the owner directly, with no mark-up)
- Day-to-day living costs (food, transport, personal spending — where Hua Hin quietly pays you back)
- Travel/health insurance (required; we point you to suitable providers)
- Your visa application fee (paid by you when you apply). We pay the THB 1,900 (about AUD $80) in-country extension fee for you.
