Who's behind SawasdeeLife

I'm Vanisa — Thai-Australian, with a foot in both worlds. I've spent half my life in Thailand, so this isn't a country I researched from afar — it's home to me. I understand Thailand from the inside — the language, the culture, how things really work — and Australia just as well. My family has a home in Hua Hin, which is what first drew me to build something there. To do it properly, I've spent time on the ground getting to know the town in depth: its hospitals and clinics, its banks and visa offices, its communities, and the practical details that make the difference between a smooth stay and a stressful one.

The idea for SawasdeeLife came from my own mother. In her retirement years she's more active than ever — always finding something new to do, somewhere to go, someone to meet. Watching her, I realised retirement isn't a winding-down at all; it can be one of the most adventurous chapters of a life — as long as there's someone to help make it possible. That's what SawasdeeLife is: the support that lets you keep saying yes to adventure.
